Carrington Cunnington
MS, LMFT, PCI Certified Parent Coach®
Carrington is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and PCI Certified Parent Coach® dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen their relationships through Biblically grounded therapy. As the founder of Firm Foundation Family Services, she provides faith-based counseling that helps families build strong, thriving relationships.
Since 2015, Carrington has worked as a PCI Certified Parent Coach®, supporting parents in becoming more grounded in their values and confident in their parenting. In 2020, she pursued her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy to expand her work with married and pre-marital couples, families, adolescents, and adults. As a licensed clinician, she provides marriage counseling, family therapy, and relationally focused individual counseling.
Carrington is also a member of the Focus on the Family Christian Counselors Network, a trusted referral network connecting individuals and families with Christian counselors committed to Biblically grounded care.
Carrington believes that it is within relationships that people experience both their deepest pain and their greatest joy. Her approach is rooted in Scripture and the hope found in walking with Christ, our Savior. She is trained in research-backed methods including Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Carrington operates from the belief that the ultimate source of wisdom and healing is God’s Word, which reveals both the cause of relational struggles and the path to restoration, love, and connection.
Carrington welcomes children and adolescents into the therapeutic process when appropriate, recognizing that families are at the heart of God’s design. She believes every family member should be heard, valued, and supported as they contribute to a stronger, healthier family unit.
She enjoys working with clients who are curious, humble, and committed to authentic connection—those who are willing to explore both the challenges they face and the growth required to overcome them.
Carrington understands that by the time someone seeks counseling, they may already feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or discouraged. Whether navigating a hurting marriage, a strained parent-child relationship, or personal struggles, she believes it is never too late to find hope and healing through the powerful work of Christ.
Carrington is honored to walk alongside her clients as they rebuild trust, restore relationships, and rediscover joy through faith-centered growth and transformation.
