It’s hard for a five year old to share, for a ten year old to stand up to a bully, for a fifteen year old to trade popularity for integrity. But when they do, they are that much closer to becoming an adult to knows how to listen without competing to be heard, to take a blow without retaliating in kind and perpetuating a culture of right-by-force.
