MS, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, PCI Certified Parent Coach

Meet Carrington

Hi, I’m Carrington, a Marriage and Family Therapist Resident and PCI Certified Parent Coach® dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen their relationships through Bibilically grounded therapy. As the founder of Firm Foundation Family Services, I provide faith-based counseling to help families build strong, Christian-centered relationships.

For over eight years, I’ve worked as a Christian parent coach, supporting moms and dads in becoming more grounded in their values and confident in their parenting. In 2020, I pursued a Master’s degree in Marraige and Family Therapy to expand my work with married couples, pre-marital couples, families, adolescents, and adult individuals. Today, I work as a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, providing Christian marriage counseling, Biblical family therapy, and faith-based individual counseling.

It's in relationship that we experience our deepest pain but also our greatest joys. I believe strong families grow from strong foundations. Whether working with a couple, a family, or an indiviudal, my approach is rooted in scripture and informed by research-backed methodologies, including Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.

However, the ultimate source of wisdom and healing is God’s Word, which reveals both the cause of relational struggles and the remedy for restoring love, trust, and connection.

A Family-Focused Counseling Approach

Families are at the heart of God’s design, and I welcome children and adolescents into the therapeutic process when appropriate. Every family member should be heard, valued, and supported as they contribute to a stronger, healthier family unit.

I enjoy working with clients who are curious, humble, and committed to authentic connection; those who are willing to explore both the challenges they face and the personal growth required to overcome them.

Finding Hope in Faith-Based Therapy

Many people don’t seek marriage counseling or family therapy until they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or lost. Whether you’re experience a hurting marriage, a strainged partent-child relationship, or personal struggles, Christian therapy offers hope and healing.

You don’t have to navigate this along. There is hope for healing, and I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
